30% back on qualifying Malta spend. Meet certain cultural and production criteria and it goes to 40%. Standalone VFX and animation projects qualify too.
Minimum Malta spend: €100,000. Overall budget: over €200,000.
Apply at least 30 working days before principal photography.
ATL capped at €1M or 30% of eligible spend. BTL uncapped.
Caps apply to per diems, professional services, and SPC fees.
Cash rebate paid within five months of final account submission.
Foreign productions need an OFA-registered Service Production Company. MovieOne is registered.
